Translate each extract from Ivan Franko's biography, paying particular attention to the transliteration of proper nouns. Click on a sentence to display a suggested translation.

1881. Lived in Nahuievychi; here he wrote his novel Zakhar Berkut and translated Goethe's tragedy Faust and Heine's poem Germany (Deutschland).
1883. Worked in the editorial office of the newspaper Dilo (The Undertaking).
1885. Visited Kyiv; in Kyiv married Olha Khorunzhynska
1889. Third arrest and two-month imprisonment for contacts with a group of Kyiv students who came to Halychyna (Galicia).
1 July 1893. Defended his PhD thesis in Vienna.
1893. The play Ukradene shchastia (Stolen Happiness) was published.
1896. Took part in elections to the Viennese parliament.
1897-1900. Various collections and poems were published.
1905. Wrote the poem Moisei (Moses).
28 May 1916. Died in Lviv; buried in Lychakiv cemetery.
